Glenn Close, Amy Adams, Sigourney Weaver, Joaquin Phoenix, Ed Harris and Willem Dafoe all come to mind for me.

A slight tangent: Carey Mulligan is so overdue her second nomination, she was phenomenal in The Suffragette, Mudbound and Shame.

She needs the right project tbh that will gain traction as a whole and not just for her. They don’t give a shit about her, and she also has to face the bad actress from the Spiderman years bias. And it’s not up to the Academy; they’re sheep. All she needs is a couple precursors to gain Oscar buzz, that’s how it works after all anymore for everyone. I don’t see it happening anytime soon, she has her new TV show coming and a new baby, and she seems like the type of person who will take a break for her family.

Oh, I didn’t know she had a baby. It’s understandable though.

To me Kirsten is one of the few who definitely conveys the characteristics of a true movie star in contemporary productions.

WHY does Emily Blunt keep getting snubbed for a nomination? WHY?

    FIVE Golden Globe nominations.

    THREE SAG nominations.

    TWO BAFTA nominations.

TWO Critics Choice nominations (in the overall acting categories).

    HELLO!?
