yes me too, I’d love Benedict to win

I love it to win score and cinematography too. And Dunst.

I really want Campion to win and the BD/BP GG combo is what I want the most

Some of you act like you are in a cult. I keep on hearing “we” as if it’s some team effort to get your candidate elected! It’s weird!

Frontrunners stumble and I am more and more convinced that TPOTD will not win BP. Belfast or West Side Story will wind up winning in March. Snark away if it makes you happy to do so but TPOTD is not as well liked as some of you seem to think, it’s the intellectual snob critics darling movie… Time will tell of course!

TPOTD, which got the exact same number of SAG noms today as your precious Belfast and WSS combined. 🤣🤣 But whatever you need to tell yourself to fall asleep at night, sweetheart. We know Bronco Henry is haunting you in your dreams.

West Side Story really needed SAG. Well, bye Felicia.

    Don’t call him a rat, he’s a troll.

WSS needed at least one more acting nom to show strength.

Belfast needed at least one supporting actor nom.

At least the nomination leading TPOTD the only film with 3 individual nods, and it’s BAFTA longlist haul has broken the “won’t be popular with industry” myth and Belfast’s misses have shown what we’ve said all along, it’s a vulnerable front runner.

The two main barriers are potential Netflix bias & the preferential ballot.

It will be helped by the perception of being a winner after GG and all the critics wins, and Netflix campaign. I assume they will throw a lot at it.

This is just blatant trolling at this point. What was the point of saying any of this, in this tone, besides to try and instigate an argument? If you don’t like this film and its supporters then maybe just don’t interact with this thread.

Netflix bias is still a thing, but I do think TPotD can still win Picture because nothing has risen to the occasion to be a legitimate challenger. If TPotD does well with DGA then it’s a lock.

The troll literally does a long trolling post than complains about being called a troll.

But you know what, I’m not going to let anyone spoil this season. TPOTD has slayed the critics awards, it won Best Picture & Best Director at Golden Globes, it leads noms at SAG, the only film with 3 individual nods, it’s the favourite for Oscar Director, Screenplay and Supporting Actor & has a strong shot at Picture.

Let’s celebrate and enjoy this masterpiece. I never believed another Jane Campion film could do this well!

I really hope the BAFTA contingent bring the Oscar home. Is Will Smith this year’s Glenn Close?
