I mean, of course I’d like any project she’s in to be of quality and garner attention. Even within the real of awards. But I realize all of her projects won’t be. I’m actually most excited to see she and Sandra work together.
Also, while I know at this stage of the game and her status in Hollywood, the academy would be far more “comfortable” giving her a 2nd supporting actress Oscar, I don’t want her in that group. She deserves a lead, and with forthcoming projects she has lined up, she should be able to achieve just that. But, I’m not so sure the Academy will be so quick to honor an actress of color in the lead race.

I’ll believe it when I see it…..August 26, 2021 at 7:19 pm #1204418542Guillermo Navarro who did the cinematography for Pan’s Labyrinth, did the cinematography for this film as well?! So, greatness in front of and behind the camera. I’m beginning to develop an understanding here…

Yeah, Sandra might be coming for a nomination. I wouldn’t be shocked if she surprises us.

And where did I mention plot? I’m guessing like Widows this will be another watered down adaptation of a British show.
