10. Michelle Williamsimho, Gena Rowlands should have won for “A Woman Under the Influence” over Ellen Burstyn who should have won for “The Exorcist” the year before. I can’t argue with her loss for “Gloria” because Sissy Spacek definitely deserved it for “Coal Miner’s Daughter”

Miss Collette is way overdue. I’ve seen her new movie, and she is outstanding. Looking forward to the Oscar talk coming her way!

Their body of work is exquisite.
Annette Bening is up there, too, but I’m less enamored with her body of work. Being Julia, The Kids Are All Right, and 20th Century Women are absolutely magnificent showcases for her talents.
That all these three women are classy, intelligent, and independent is really just icing on the cake.
Best performances from each:
Weaver: Copycat
Dern: INLAND EMPIRE
Bening: Being Julia
