Hello! I know a few people from here submitted their lists in my recent poll on the 100 Best Actors and Actors of All Time, so I’ll be sharing my list here! I’ll start off the the honorable mentions: First, those who only received one mention across all 286 list submissions:
And then, everyone who received 2 or more voted but did not have enough total points to make the top 100:
Stay tuned for the official list, to be posted soon!

ReplyCopy URLSeptember 10, 2020 at 2:53 pm #1203697818Just noticed Burt Lancaster is #299. Another huge snub of the top 100.
ReplyCopy URLSeptember 10, 2020 at 3:23 pm #1203697874Peter O’Toole should be easily among the top 10/15 actors of all time.
This is insane.

September 10, 2020 at 6:55 pm #1203698217Happy to say only one of my top 25 only had one mention. Not surprised though, the legend who practically invented screen acting…Lillian Gish is way forgotten or never even seen by so many. A little disappointed in how many of my choices didn’t make the top 100 though.
ReplyCopy URLSeptember 10, 2020 at 11:39 pm #1203698439I’ll be honest, there are dozens of names in this leftover / bubbling under list that I would never have expected to rank so low. Legendary, iconic Hollywood giants who have shaped movie acting and the world as we know it. Much of the bubbling under reads like The Greatest Actors of All Time. I feel like the actual Top 100 is going to read more like The Greatest Actors of 2020.

This is what you get when you poll random people on the internet. All recency bias (because that’s all most of them have seen) and no sense of history. Colour me unsurprised.
