1 Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
    2 Harriet
    3 Booksmart
    4 The Report
    5 Little Women

Sidenote: I’m not anticipating The Irishman nearly as enthusiastically as I should. Scorsese is one of my favourite directors but I have a weird feeling this project could turn out to be a paint by numbers version of what he’s done a million times before.

Sidenote 2: I feel bad about having to leave The Last Thing He Wanted out of my list. Dee Rees rocks. I wish this was a top six.

Sidenote 3: Since having seen the trailer, I’m also enthusiastic about Joker, in ways I didn’t imagine possible.

    1. Little Women – Excited to see Saoirse Ronan’s performance as Jo March & Greta Gerwig to direct this remake.
    2. Lucy in the Sky – The trailer made me really excited for this movie. Portman looks amazing.
    3. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood – Big cast. I liked the trailer. I’m ready for DiCaprio, Pitt, and Robbie to get some nods come awards time.
    4. Toy Story 4 – I grew up watching the series and I always cried at the ending.
    5. Zombieland: Double Tap – I am so thrilled to see this one. The first movie was one of my favorite all of time.

Alternates: Avengers: Endgame, Joker, Rocketman, The Lion King, and The Woman in the Window.

You think The Irishman will be a basic movie we’ve seen before? I’m sure Booksmart, The Report & Little Women are game changers…..Have old men ever been de-aged 30-40 years back for half of a movie before?
