Though it would be good to have a topic about Top Gun: Maverick since it’s getting great reviews from early screenings and Lady Gaga just released the video for “Hold My Hand”. It will probably be a box office hit too.

Song, Sound and Cinematography seem very likely for the Oscars. Tom Cruise is getting a lot of praise too with some of the supporting cast (Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly and Glen Powell mainly).

Can sneak in Picture and Director? Get any acting nom?

I doubt those noms. Cinematography maybe because the Cinematography looks Amazing! We will see, anyway!

I’m not so sure this will be a box office success? I know the franchise has a passionate fan base but who else would be interested in seeing it?

When is ‘The Little Mermaid’ being released? If it comes out in time, I would think that Lin-Manuel Miranda might be a co-frontrunner.
