I think that Network is the best-acted movie of all time, really nearly everyone in that cast should have been Oscar-nominated.

Same. Everyone is so good it’s almost surreal

    Gone with the Wind
    Terms od Endearment
    Godfather 2
    Nashville
    Dangerous Liaisons

The Godfather is the first to come to my mind. The second to come to my mind is The Godfather Part II.

In my opinion, those are the greatest films ever made, with the stellar acting being one their strongest points.

The first two films managed to score 9 nominations for acting alone, and it can be argued that they deserved more as far as the second installment is concerned. Diane Keaton was just as good as Talia Shire, and John Cazale was clearly better than Lee Strasberg and Michael V. Gazzo (he’s great, but if any of the nominated performances were to miss out, it’s definitely his).

I’ll come up with a list later but two things come to mind off the bat: American Beauty and Requiem for a Dream.

I just love movies. And awards.
