I think it’ll not only depend on the state of COVID in Canada (and particularly Ontario) at the time. Any stars who are Canadian and vaccinated won’t have to quarantine. It’s possible we might ease COVID restrictions by then for international travelers, as we’re doing right now and have it so that fully vaccinated foreigners can enter without quarantining.

Very intrigued by this one. Terence Davies has directed some strong performances out of actors in the past and Peter Capaldi is arguably overdue an awards breakthrough. Although I have a feeling this might be a BAFTA only player.

FYC: All things The Crown, Hacks and I May Destroy You (and Hannah Waddingham and Julianne Nicholson whilst you're at it)!!

Any guesses on which Netflix films will appear on TIFF??

My money is on Don’t Look Up, The Power of The Dog, and Blonde.

This has been one of my most anticipated upcoming releases for a while so I’m happy it’s getting a TIFF release.

I’m not sure of how big Capaldi’s role will be considering he’s only playing an older version of the lead character but who knows what can happen, especially with the BAFTA committee in place.

August 9, they’re opening borders to fully vaccinated Americans. Lol. Yay

I just love movies. And awards.

I’m gonna make a bold prediction and say The Humans wins the Audience Award, then Richard Jenkins goes onto win Supporting Actor

Oscar winners Emerald Fennell Daniel Kaluuya and Youn Yuh-jung

I think it might go Telluride. It’s not the usual Telluride taste but I have to wonder if that’s why they put the trailer out today.
