Basically the entire ensemble of The Boys in the Band was far more excellent than they got credit for, much like the movie itself.

I think this one is underrated in relation to other performances in the film, but Tom Burke in Mank. He’s a perfect Welles for the movie. I expounded upon that in the Supporting Actor thread.

If we’re talking underrated, then Vayu O’Donnell in Survival Skills. His uncanniness throughout and the way he perfected the tics and other small details of his character really surprised me. Stacy Keach and Spencer Garrett were also pretty good in that movie.

Jharrel Jerome is not going to factor into any awards conversation for his great work in Concrete Cowboy. That film leans hard into formula so it will come and go once it’s released on Netflix.
