Sometimes, a serious film could become an unintentional comedy if written the wrong way.

    For example:

Discuss examples of films that were intended to be serious but turned out to be an unintentional comedy. And explain why they are unintentional comedies.

I laughed a lot during Skyscraper. It’s incredibly stupid.

    The Room
    Fateful Findings
    Birdemic: Shock and Terror

All are wonderful pieces of kino and mood picker-uppers due to their incompetence despite their auteurs’ commitment.

Also, The Hurricane Heist has a scene where the character throws hubcaps at some corrupt cops during a hurricane, and due to the wind the hubcaps impale them. There’s also two scenes where a CGI skull forms in the clouds.

Gods of Egypt and Jupiter Ascending I can see people laughing at. I found them incredibly painful for the most part, but even I can admit there were a couple scenes in Egypt where the CGI was so obscenely bad that I couldn’t help but chuckle.

There’s one with Maisie Williams, but I thought that one was good.

Oh yes, the one with Emily Osment. Some of the scenes and the acting were so funny that I had to pause the movie because I could not control myself to hear the dialogue. There is one famous scene in particular that I watch over and over on YouTube when I need a good laugh. Such a classic

Obsessed with Ali Larter, Idris Elba and Beyoncé is one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen.

    Three words: Tyler Perry’s Acrimony.

Actually, all his dramas are way funnier than the comedies. Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor is a masterpiece of unintentional hilarity in how preposterous and flat out WTF??? it is.

    Crash

THE OSCAR 100 (#30-26): Al Pacino, Edith Evans, Judy Garland, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton

I found Paul Haggis’ Crash more frustrating in its contrivances and cheap dialogue than unintentionally funny.

When she can’t open the bottle?

Mother! I loved it, and parts of it might be intentionally humorous but when *SPOILER* Kristen Wiig blew up.

If they make the upcoming film adaptation of Cats as a live-action movie, with the suits and all, it would bring more joy to the world than Battlefield Earth and The Room combined.
