Unfortunately that doesn’t look like happening any time soon. Have you read the reviews of Locked Down? They’re yikes. That’s three flops in 12 months. She is in Armageddon Time though.
Yeah 😭 Like I said, flop era hahaha. I just don’t understand what she/her agent are thinking with these roles, this is a woman who could be in the Oscars conversation if she wanted to be and yet she keeps squandering her talent… it’s incredibly frustrating to watch. Still, I can see her making a comeback one day. I’ll never root against her, she was one of my favourites once.

Joaquin Phoenix is the Greatest Actor in our WorldJanuary 14, 2021 at 8:29 pm #1203984313
David O. Russell ‘acclaimed’ films were basically just a self indulgent mess, 2+ hours of horrible people yelling nasty shit to each others.January 14, 2021 at 8:36 pm #1203984320
David O Russell and the actors’ semi-crazy performances were hyped up and it’s easy to see why. But the novelty wore off and his new film will not be received as well.January 14, 2021 at 10:44 pm #1203984437
2000 had the greatest Best Supporting Actor lineup.

James Mangold is a better director than David O RussellJanuary 15, 2021 at 1:55 am #1203984526
I’ll be honest the whole “David O’Russell movies age pretty poorly after the awards season is over” type of opinion is not even an unpopular one.January 15, 2021 at 3:05 am #1203984561
A Simple Favour is actually great and it gets torn down by film twitter for not being super serious but you know what! It’s fun! Yes I’m rewatching it!

Rachel McAdams in Eurovision and Millie Bobby Brown in Enola Holmes are way more deserving of awards nominations than Amy Adams in Hillbilly Elegy.
Also The Two Popes > Marriage Story + The Irishman
FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")January 16, 2021 at 9:13 am #1203986449
I don’t find Promising Young Woman deserving of an ensemble nomination.January 16, 2021 at 12:37 pm #1203986728
Speaking of CMBYN now I’ve watched again after a few years, I’m still underwhelmed by the chemistry between Chalamet and Hammer. I’m not against straight actors playing LGBT community at all, but maybe if one of the pair had been a member it would be more convincing.
And since I’m on that movie although he didn’t have much screen time I think Stuhlbarg was totally robbed of a nomination…I’d switch him with Harrelson anytime.

Renée Zellweger is one of the most underrated performers imo but her career best performance is in Bridget Jones’s Diary not Chicago or Judy. Although I would have given her the wins for the latter two and not the former.
