I honestly liked American Hustle, yes it has many problems but I thought it was enjoyable, I thought JLaw was actually pretty good, but how did she almost beat Lupita how? It boggles my mind

Blake Lively was so good in the Simple Favor and should have gotten awards traction

It’s my opinion…

Well yeah. I agree with most of yours but just wanted to see if others were bothered by the shaky cam lol

Radha Blank being slept on SO HARD

Yes but I’m Fennell all the way! I really think she’s gonna have a Peele moment and PYW will be rewarded with Screenplay

Oh of course me too! It’s just that the race should be between those two (with Fennell on top) not Fennell and Sorkin.

He should retire in three or four years, like DDL and Nicholson did, in a graceful way and before people beg him to stop (looking at you, DeNiro).January 17, 2021 at 9:04 pm #1203988920With Trump, the Pandemic, The Stock Market chaos, the election and Lord knows what else, the last thing 2020 will be remembered for is film.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 18, 2021 at 12:41 am #1203989087The best thing about The 40 Year Old Version were the rap battle scenes which were legitimately terrific, probably because all these MCs are way better lyricists than Radha Blank. I didn’t enjoy her whole character (who honestly came across as extremely opportunistic towards every single one of her friends over the course of the whole movie) and some of the child acting in particular was god-awful. Tbh, I don’t really see what all the talk is about with this movie. It wasn’t great.

January 18, 2021 at 9:52 am #1203989730Widows deserved Oscar nominations (and possibly wins) for McQueen and Kaluuya, but nothing else. The script was not that tight, and I was not impressed by anyone else in the cast. But McQueen’s direction was incredible and Kaluuya’s performance was the definition of scene stealer. The way he should be winning his second or third with Judas, not first.
