Danai Gurira is so STAR worthy.December 4, 2018 at 7:05 pm #1202689520
I finally watched Call Me By Your Name this past week and I don’t understand why Michael Stuhlbarg was considered a snub, it was a one scene wonder which wasn’t that great (OSW need to be V. Davis & Network level quality imo) especially watching his scene after already seeing him in a much better performance in Shape of Water and the parent speech to gay teen scene was done much better by Mike O’Malley and Jennifer Garner.December 4, 2018 at 7:08 pm #1202689522
Cate Blanchett gave an incredible performance but Natalie Portman gave the best winning female performance this decade.December 4, 2018 at 7:27 pm #1202689536
Eighth Grade was good but wasn’t groundbreaking nor was it best of recent coming of age films when compared to Edge of Seventeen or Lady Bird. Eighth Grade receiving more love than Widows or First Man is disappointing.December 4, 2018 at 9:39 pm #1202689572
Cabaret deserved every Oscar it received and is even more relevant today than when it came out (musical during the height of the civil rights movement and film shortly after still dealing with integration).December 4, 2018 at 11:56 pm #1202689654
“Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” Should have won all 4 acting Oscars.December 5, 2018 at 3:07 am #1202689773
Ben Kingsley gives the best performance in Schindler’s List.
Liv Ullmann is not good in Shame.
The Night of the Hunter is very beautiful to look at but everything else (excepted Lillian Gish) is completely overrated, an overall 5/10 film.
Denzel in Flight is the best male performance of 2012.
Amy Adams is awful in Doubt, so is Ben Foster in 3:10 to Yuma, 2 cases of overacting at its worst.
The Graduate isn’t one of Anne Bancroft top 10 greatest performances.December 5, 2018 at 2:06 pm #1202690123
Amy Adams has a total of zero Oscar worthy performancesDecember 5, 2018 at 3:12 pm #1202690208
I use to support her win, but I feel like Allison Janney’s win for supporting actress is the worst this decade.December 5, 2018 at 3:13 pm #1202690211
Also, I don’t understand how some are so against Jennifer Hudson’s Oscar. She nailed that role. Yes she is a limited actress, but her performance was out-freaking-standing. Well deserved Oscar.December 5, 2018 at 3:20 pm #1202690220

Imo Cate Blanchett was superior by far on Notes On A Scandal and Meryl would have easily win if she went supporting for The Devil Wears Prada.December 5, 2018 at 4:51 pm #1202690274
Even though she probably should not have won, I’m glad Jennifer Hudson won that Oscar for that performance.December 5, 2018 at 4:51 pm #1202690275
The Birds and Rear Window are better than Psycho.
