I’m not sure where to put this revelation I had but I’m going to put it here.

Last night I watched Ocean’s 8 and it was bothering me literally the entire movie who Sandra Bullock was reminding me of. I couldn’t get it out of my head that there was some other actress who acts just like her. I knew it was someone I had just seen, and then after the movie, I continued my binge of Smash, and realized that it was Debra Messing.

I’m not familiar with a lot of either actresses’ work but from what I gather from these two projects (Ocean’s 8 and Smash), Sandra Bullock and Debra Messing have very similar voices, inflection, and mannerisms. The way they carry themselves and speak, to me, is incredibly similar.

Please let me know if anyone else has noticed this, or if is just their characters from these two projects that is making me think this lol

I know quoting your own post weeks after the fact is gross and lame but I’m doing it anyway because no one replied when I posted this and I need confirmation that I’m not the only one who has observed this: Sandra Bullock and Debra Messing are the same actress.

Lucas Hedges should get an Oscar first before Timothee Chalamet.

Only Whoopi. Bassett is boring in the role.

Bassett was incredible in the role. And based on the nominations that year, she would have been perfect.

In 1983 The World According to Garp should have been the film with two female supporting nominations for Glenn Close and Mary Beth Hurt instead of Tootsie. Teri Garr Jessica Lange shouldn’t have been nominated.

    Fixed that for you 😛

Lupita was awful in Us. Actually, Us was awful.

    Very unpopular.

Darlings, “Us” was rubbish (even though it was better than the racist Get Out) and Lupito’s performance was just okay. Elisabeth Moss was better with lesser screentime.

Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but I’ll put it out there nonetheless: Matthew McConaughey should have won the Emmy (in Limited Series Actor) for his major acting award in 2014, not the Oscar. McConaughey was much better than Cumberbatch’s Sherlock Holmes, but Chiwetel deserved that Oscar and it’s a travesty that Dallas Buyers Club walked away with more than one undeserved award. I wouldn’t have been surprised if McConaughey would have been in contention for Interstellar the next year had he not won.

Kathy Bates should have won 2 Lead Oscars in the 90s. One for Misery and one for Dolores Claiborne.

Dolores Claiborne was supposed to be a big fall release in 1994 but got pushed back to 95 when they were unhappy with it. I think in 94 she’d have had a much better chance at a nomination.
