Ellen Burstyn’s performance in Requiem For A Dream is the best Oscar nominated/winning performance of this century….

Glenn Close is one of the greatest ever, but I would actually prefer Renee Zellweger in a newer film version of ‘Sunset Boulevard.’

Can you imagine how heartbroken Glenn Close would be if this happens? Patti Lupone would probably laugh her head off.

Lmao imagine Patti Lupone suddenly comes in and wins an Oscar… Probably why we haven’t heard any further news about Glenn’s SB movie for months.
Anyway, I still think Glenn fits the role more than Patty and Renee. This woman was born to portray these ridiculously over the top characters so convincingly. I want that version of her back instead of these lame sympathetic characters she’s been playing recently.

It’s been a few months and I still do not get all the acclaim over If Beale Street Could Talk.

Darling, that’s because the movie was average as hell. Mother King’s win was atrocious.

Ehh I thought Julia outacted Meryl so hard in AOC (and belonged in lead), hell if Julia had won supporting actress she’d be my top fave supporting actress winner this decade.

Yes, yes, yes! She should have been placed in lead, but I was seriously just happy she was nominated. She was phenomenal.

Speaking of Julia, I find her to be wildly underrated since her Oscar win for Erin Brockovich. Her performances in Closer, Ben is Back, Charlie Wilson’s War and Wonder were all Oscar worthy.

oh absolutely, people on this website hate on her win just cuz they fan over anything Aronofksky poops out. That movie should’ve won screenplay too for her dialogues roasting Theresa, that PGE intern/lady, and her co-workers.

“As long as I have one ass instead of two, I’ll wear what I like.”

    Gets me every time.

And EB should have totally won for screenplay and the late great Albert Finney should have took Supporting Actor (although I did love Del Toro in Traffic).

The Harry Potter series is by far superior to The Lord of the Rings. Only the 5th HP movie is worse than any of the LOTR films, except for Two Towers, which was actually pretty good and would probably rank somewhere in the middle with the HP movies. But Fellowship is just okay and Return of the King was awful.

Trevante Rhodes, Ashton Sanders, and Alex Hibbert all would have been more worthy nominees/winners than Mahershala Ali for Moonlight

The Harry Potter books are way better than Lord of the Rings books. But the Lord of the Rings movies are masterpieces.
