Margot Robbie is an overrated actress.

Rachel Weisz deserved to win over Regina King for BSA last year.

Jennifer Lawrence deserved her Oscar win.

Neither of these is unpopular regarding the general audience (GD always tend to twist shit so it shouldn’t count).

I miss all of our Lena Headey stan comments; Emmy season was quite the highlight.

Darling, a moment we’ll never forget.

Honey, you all probably watched The Danish Girl once and didn’t pay enough attention. Alicia Vikander is a supporting character in it.

I find The Favourite overrated in almost every regard. I was so excited to see it, because everybody was raving about it, but I found nothing exceptional in it apart from the writing. Yes – this includes Colman’s performance.

I’m sorry to hear that. The Favorite’s screenplay is one of the most unique around. I was 70% certain it would win.
But then, since Green Book’s was written by “Tony’s” son, using the actual letters and interviews with Doc, in the end the win is understandable. Plus, it was a great balance of humour and poignancy.

As for Ali; now here is a case where he was co-lead. There wouldn’t have been a story without both of them. But this is just an opinion. I don’t know all the circumstances behind his placement, so I’m reserving judgement.

I was rooting for Viggo like crazy btw.

Green Book had to win other categories to justify a picture win. Think Spotlight winning its screenplay category.

Into the Spider-Verse was less profitable than other Spider-Man movies because of the race of the protagonist and not because it was animated.

Darling, and the only decent performance in that atrocious film.

Totally agree. I think most people agree that 2011 was a great year for her and like her in at least one The Help/Tree of Life/Take Shelter, but her work since then has been under appreciated by the academy and audiences in general, particularly A Most Violent Year and Molly’s Game.

She was absolutely wonderful in Tree of Life. One of my favorite “wordless” performances ever

The original Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy >>>>>>> any other wannabe Spider-Man movie from Sony or Disney

Agreed, but this really isn’t an unpopular opinion.
