Nomadland did not deserve to be even nominated for Best Picture, let alone win. What a aimless, directionless film. The Cinematography being the only thing worthy of a nomination from the film.
you literally stan belfast and being the ricardos

Belfast? YES. Being The Ricardos? NO. Anyways what’s your point? Isn’t this an unpopular opinions thread. Or do you find it difficult to digest if anyone expresses his/her opinion? Anyways cannot expect anything else from you. Your irrational behaviour on this forum is very well known.

November 22, 2022 at 2:56 pm #1205164325Even at the risk of making myself unpopular here, Bardo was … kind of solid? Definitely better made and directed than many other contenders I have seen this year, even some favored to be nominated for International Feature. Either the final editing process helped a lot or people were really overreacting after Venice.

I agree.
Bardo is a damn good movie. The direction, cinematography, and sound design are all outstanding.
After one viewing I’m not sure it succeeds as the magnum opus Iñárritu seems to have set out to make, but it didn’t deserve to be dragged through the mud.

It was the final editing. The Cut we saw is Way Shorter. The Venice Cut was Way Longer(my friend saw it in Venice

I agree. I add Roma. Roma is the most boring thing I saw in my entire life but Perfect Cinematography

The Irishman, Spencer, Lost Doll, The power of the Dull and Nomadland were all terribly and unbearably boring. Roma was even better

I save The Irishman because some of its scenes are excellent. I agree with the rest(Too Boring

Because literally all of those are at worst good and at best amazing (I know this is the unpopular opinion thread; i’m just positing whether or not your issue is really with the films themselves or with the demand of the films attention-wise due to the slow but actually effective pacing).

In my personal experience with Roma: It was the subject matter. Not interested at all in his childhood. And he born in a Very Rich Family so even more boring to me. I don’t have problems with slow pacing. Silence(Martin Scorsese) is One of My Favorites Ever

I didn’t hate it. But I think it was only 6/10. Overrated movie
