    Why not ?

I’m pretty sure it will age better than the majority of BP winners of the decade

Its hype will go down and it’s gonna be on the level of “okay it won”

Lmao, you don’t know that. It’s the most beloved winner of the decade and there’s no particular reason to think people will suddenly turn on it

I don’t know. I just feel it will. It won’t be hated like Crash or Green Book. It’s going to be Titanic, if you know what I mean.

It literally just won. Save your talk for a decade later.

While Gravity was good generally, I didn’t like Sandra Bullock’s performance. In a film with so little dialogue, you need to absolutely nail every line, and I feel like she flubbed quite a few with weird intonation and inflection.

Really? Her crying scene was quite excellent, imo. It was moving

It’s win is too historic to age poorly, and nobody’s currently pointing at another contender and saying it was robbed, so I don’t see this happening. Even people who didn’t have it as their top pick were pretty happy for it, including myself.

Rogue One is one of the best films made in 2016 and deserved more nominations and recognition than what it got.

    Ben Mendelsohn is amazing.

The story is absolutely ridiculously greatly done.

It really is a piece of art.

Amy Adams in American Hustle didn’t deserve a nomination. I have tried to appreciate the performance, but some of her scenes are truly cringeworthy. I understand that part of her performance is intentionally supposed to appear to be a poor portrayal, but she didn’t execute it well enough for my liking.

Tang Wei deserved a nomination in 2007. She essentially got black-balled from her home nation’s film industry to give this performance. Blanchett should have been scrapped altogether.

Judi Dench, Christian Bale, and Jessica Lange have more than one unnecessary nomination. Meryl Streep is another league in that conversation.

Curse of The Golden Flower losing Costume Design is one of the worst decisions the Oscars made this century

June Squibb deserved to win Best Supporting Actress in 2014.

I completely and totally support Lupita’s win, but I wouldn’t have minded. It’s not everyday that a woman in her 80s has a breakout role.

Connelly should have gotten in for House of Sand and Fog especially when most of the nominees gave an okay performance.

That year was a five-way tie for me.
