Jennifer Lawrence should have been nominated for Best Actress for Hunger Games and mother!, but not for Joy. She’s also an amazing actress but she lost some « credibility » since the leak scandal and I don’t understand why.

Isabelle Huppert should have won in 2017 instead of Emma Stone

Actually Amy Adams should have won in 2017 over Emma Stone.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

Pacino or Pesci should have won last year.

Even Hopkins and Hanks were better than Pitt.

Best chance for Nomandland is to follow Roma’s path of DGA + Oscar Directing win. It’s too slow and small scale it seems

I don’t think the leak scandal was the problem, but the work she picked for herself post-2013.

Yeah the leak didn’t hurt her career at all. She just picks shitty movies nowadays.

Lucas and Spielberg are massive fucking creeps and no one will ever convince to ever watch one of their movies willingly (Michael Bay too, but all his movies are so worthless they don’t even warrant discussion)

    rubbish

While nowhere near a bad movie, The Irishman was boring, self-indulgent and overall completely overrated and deserved to go 0/10

    FYC :

    Best Actress - Viola Davis
    Best Actor - Delroy Lindo
Best Supp Actress - Glenn Close
Best Supp Actor - Chadwick Boseman

Nicole Kidman was better than Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie in Bombshell. Robbie’s better performance was in OUATIH.

Is that unpopular though?! She literally swept the critics and her performance has aged far better than Emma’s.

But I agree, she shouldve won in a landslide. Only Amy Adams came close but Isabelle was just on another level. IMO the best female performance of the decade.

I think it’s pretty popular the opinion that Stone wasn’t exactly the most deserving among the bunch, especially when Adams, Huppert, and Portman had all best-career performances.

La La Land is the weakest of Emma’s nominations I’d say. The Favourite is the best followed by Birdman.

I think Adam Driver should’ve won over Phoenix last year. and ScarJo over Renee. Florence Pugh over Dern and Joe Pesci over Pitt.
