People on GD hate everyone who appears to be on top and has the most opportunities. It’s horrible! I like all of the people that you mention: they have incredible presence on screen and likability. Also, I’m not on Twitter and Instagram all day following what people post or obsessing about something they said that you don’t agree with. I just enjoy them as actors.

I found it interesting that some people in GD hates on them because those people take the most opportunities in high profile projects. I mean, who the hell in hollywood doesn’t want those opportunities and people in GD blames them for taking it, weird.

    FYC:
Best Director: Edgar Wright, Guillermo Del Toro, Jane Campion
Best Picture: Nightmare Alley, The Power of the Dog
Best Actress: Kristen Stewart, Thomasin McKenzie, Rooney Mara, Tessa Thompson
Best Actor: Benedict Cumberbatch, Bradley Cooper
Best S. Actress: Cate Blanchett, Diana Rigg, Anya Taylor Joy
Best S. Actor: Kodi Smit McPhee, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins

Yes. I discovered GD very recently(even though I work in Hollywood). I don’t use Internet much. I wonder if GD was way older they will totally hate Russell Crowe. Russell Crowe was the hottest in Hollywood for a very small period in Hollywood History(1997-2007)

Taika Waititi is a mediocre writer and a lot of praise for his movie just comes from characters saying quirky outlandish remarks which isn’t quite a holistic approach at evaluating screenplays at all. Also he’s creepy and sleazy as hell. What he did to his last wife regarding infidelity is atrocious. I’m not sure why actors and the industry swoons over for his persona.

I agree. He is very mediocre. However, your second point is meaningless. 99.9% of All actors and actresses are cheating so they are just like him

    Wait… y’all didn’t like ScarJo???

More like… where was the juice she deserved to have? The role is not written to its best, but at least she did the best she could do.

    3. Elisabeth Moss, Her Smell 4. Jessie Buckley, Wild Rose

Spilling as usual, hun! They and Woodard are my winners actually. I love Lupita’s performance, but I don’t really find it as the best of the year. Yes, she nailed the technicalities, but I need more visceral experience to fully regard a performance as the best.

Critics are just bunch of moviegoers/filmnerds like us with “Tomatometer approved” label to justify their credibility in judging and putting verdict on a movie. They have no real cred to actually judge a movie on its merit.

How is this an unpopular opinion? Anyone can be a critic these days with a YouTube channel, lol

I don’t like huge ensembles à la French Dispatch or Don’t Look Up. Looks more like some elitist reunion than anything else.

    Also King Richard looks baaaad.

Some, very few, of All the very famous Action Stars are Great, Great Actors: Willis was perfect in Die Hard 1 but I think that was Director John McTiernan because Willis never that was great. Same thing happened with Arnold in Predator 1 but it looks it was more Director John McTiernan because Arnold is The Worst with Bad Directors. Some Action Stars who made Perfect Performances in Dramatic Movies and are Great, Great Actors: Sylvester Stallone, Chow Yun Fat, Donnie Yen, Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan

I remember my aunt loved this movie and it was strange because she didn’t like these kind of movies, she sadly past away 6 years ago, I’m still sad 😢, she was too young to die.
