Madonna has being sharing on her Instagram that she’s working on a screenplay based on her life with Diablo Cody as screenwriter.
Ir will be focused on the 80s
Its rumoured that Julia Garner is Madonna’s choice to play her.August 28, 2020 at 8:13 am #1203671758
Garner will crush it!! great choiceAugust 28, 2020 at 8:15 am #1203671762
Madonna herself writing this doesn’t sound good, as I don’t think I’d trust her to tell her story without bias.August 28, 2020 at 8:25 am #1203671782
I’m sorry but enough of these pop star Bohemian Rhapsody esque biopics. Either do something original or go home!
FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).August 28, 2020 at 8:28 am #1203671798
Don’t think this will be good but if Rami Malek can win an Oscar for Bohemian Rhapsody, then they better at least nominate Julia Garner.August 28, 2020 at 9:32 am #1203672000
Madonna sweetie, if your scrolling and happen to read, just have this be focused on the time period when you tried to make it as a dancer in New York.
Begin the picture with hoping with the train off $35 in the pocket and end with the “rule the world” interview on Dick Clark.
You’re welcome.August 28, 2020 at 9:41 am #1203672030

Julia Garner would be amazing. I think she can crush it.

I remember a bunch of talk about the Black List script “Blond Ambition” that won a couple years ago. It’s also about Madonna’s early years in 80s New York, and it was supposedly fantastic. I’d rather see that version, TBH, instead of what will surely be a hagiography in Madonna’s hands, even with Cody attached. I’d also pick Margot Robbie in the lead role over Julia Garner, as I think it would be the perfect Oscar-winning vehicle for the former.August 28, 2020 at 12:25 pm #1203672376
I would’ve suggested Paris Jackson but Julia Garner would probably be a better choice.
I wonder if Madonna will be credited as a co-writer? 🤔
And sis better have an original song to contend at the Oscars ala Elton John.August 28, 2020 at 1:21 pm #1203672486This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 28, 2020 at 4:18 pm #1203672751

I think it will reach the Blond Ambition tour.
I’d do a movie about the SEX book and how everyone gave her shit about that.August 28, 2020 at 4:20 pm #1203672753
I’m not up for on my Madonna knowledge as much as I should be, not assuming the majority of this takes place in the late 70s — early 80s since she & Cody we’re going over her old journals from the time period and the blacklist script “Blond Ambition” opened with her leaving The Emmys and meeting with Jellybean for the first time.
