I just thought of something. When Red entered the house after breaking in she looked at the picture with her mom in it. Her mom must have died in the tethered world as well so Red was acknowledging the passing of her mother in the real world. Since she was untethered from her at the age of 14 I think that Red wanted to wait until her mother passed to start remaking havoc across America so that her mom wouldn’t have to feel the pain and terror of that happening to her.She obviously didn’t have a problem with the doppelgängers killing everyone else including Adelaide’s children but still showed love for her mother by touching the painting and pausing for a moment. What do you guys think?

I was one of the biggest fans of “Get Out” out here but this movie… damn, its idea was not executed well.

The only plot twist from the prologue that could have happened… indeed happened. “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” did this — It was really the other one — twist way better and that was almost 60 years ago. Not to mention that both characters involved spoke like 5 MINUTES EARLIER and it was never mentioned between them? Confusing that there was need to explain it to us and there was no “You stole my life, b*tch” so… Why original Lupita couldn’t reclaim it? All of that was plain stupid.

If Peele gets nominated for screenwriting, it will be a leftover love for much more complex and better debut feature he made 2 years ago.

Adelaide should have been dead the moment fake Kitty got her hands on her but decided to… play with lipstick? When it was stated that the crisis includes not only this main family but everybody else, the film was officially off the rails. Not to mention how fake Gabe was able to survive his boat cruise and how Zora was able to return home without her fake self running towards her? Too many plot holes to really enjoy the movie and off-kilter humor didn’t work nearly as well as it did in previous film.

Adelaide couldn’t reclaim her life until she was like 14. In the movie it says this and she explains that she didn’t just want to go back she wanted to make a statement about what the government has done and allowing the tethered to have their shot. Of course she could have just returned after she was 14 but she was planning this revolution for 2 decades and she wanted revenge more than having a normal life. And the part about how Adelaide should have been dead with kitty. It’s about the sybolism because she was a tethered person finally experiencing normal things. She started to cut her face to signify the plastic surgery that kitty had. That whole scene was very important to the plot and storyline itself so I don’t see how you have a problem with that one! Gabe was able to survive the boat cruise because it was Abraham who got stuck on the rope and pulled along with the boat. If you’re talking about Abraham it’s because they are mutations from the government so who knows what abilities they have. And Zora was able to return because her tethered was stabbing a man in the genitals and Zoe’s ran away while she did that. Her tethered wasn’t looking at Zora when she killed that man so she didn’t know which way she went. Ou guys need to go back and watch it again to appreciate it

What about killing Adelaide and then doing whatever was on her mind? I know what this scene represented but then again why murdering entire white family but keeping black protagonist locked with her family just outside the house? Majority of white directors would bury their careers alive if race of two main families were reversed in the same situation in their movies.

Making a statement at 14 and waiting 20 years for it? Yeah. That will do.

Abraham was mortal so he should have been dead right there in the lake.

Zora was given like a minute of advantage before her tethered run after her and then tethered was in front of her very fast. When she was done with that man, Zora should still be close enough and probably in the reach of her eyesight.

I regret coming in the first place so I’m not coming back. I’d rather watch “Get Out” for the second time.

I can see my comments were transferred. Sorry, I didn’t know there’s a spoiler thread.

Major thing that was not discussed – I admit Adelaide was reluctant to go to the beach but knowing what we know there’s no way she revisits the place where her life took different path. That’s too risky and I think it wasn’t mentioned.
