La Biennale has started, and The inaugural film, Downsizing, from Alexander Payne has received some praise, THR calling it his best work yet. The Guardian naming it a Masterpiece.
In terms of acting, Waltz’s, Damon’s and Hong Chau’s performances were praised, specially the last one, which now seems like a big contender for supporting actress.
In more honest Twitter reactions it was said the film lost its impetu in the 2nd half and the satyrical vision softens a bit.
