As a Canadian, I didn’t know who Jackie Kennedy was before Jackie honestly. Diana is MUCH more known worldwide than Jackie IMO.

That can be a blessing and a curse.

    FYC:

    Actor: Benedict Cumberbatch
    Actress: Tessa Thompson, Olivia Colman

Supporting Actor: Kodi Smit-McPhee, Jesse Plemons

Just wondering, what makes everyone putting Stewart ahead of Dunst for the Volpi ?

I would say that on paper she is more likely because she has the lead role in a movie all about herself while Dunst might be at borderline lead/supporting in a movie that is more centered around Cumberbatch.

Anything can happen, but if they give an acting award to TPOTD, it is probably to going to him

They are going to win Volpi like Driver won Palm D’Or.

As always, it’s going to be some left-fielder. Reminder that Joker was a left-fielder too. Nobody expected it.

I think Volpi is between Cruz and Dunst, Golden Lion could go to Sorrentino’s new movie also to pave the way for a potential Oscar nod in the foreign section.

I’m new to the whole festival thing but we just get reactions from critics and audience members right? Not actual reviews.

If it’s like last year, we will get the first reviews from both in competition and out of competition movies.

Penelope Cruz is fantastic in Parallel Mothers trailer, this movie seems to have an important comedy point apart from a drama about motherhood.

Shame because this is probably why it’s not gonna go to Telluride too. It would’ve been a great Telluride pick but 4th is too late.

According to Alberto Barbera, the Artistic Director of the Festival, these actors will be present at Venice for the premiere of their work:

    Olivia Colman and Dakota Johnson for The Lost Daughter;
Oscar Isaac for his three projects?
    Kristen Stewart for Spencer.

Olivia Colman already won this award, and they only repeated winners three times. Shirley MacLaine (1960 and 1988), Isabelle Huppert (1988 and 1995) and Valeria Golino (1986 and 2015).
