I just watched the trailer for The Eyes of Tammy Faye again. I’m beginning to think it could be The United States vs Billie Holiday of this season. The transformation here could be too strong to ignore.

It’s too crowded of a year for Chastain to break through. Andra Day’s biggest “threat” was Amy adams hillbilly elegy LOL so of course she took the fifth spot. It’s not gonna happen. Day was just lucky her movie was released in an empty year.

It definitely needs to be better than Billie Holiday to make it, since Billie Holiday made it against almost no competition (6th place was either Amy Adams in a panned supporting role in a panned movie or Yeri Han with no precursors). It probably will be better though. Chastain has a good shot.

Day was extremely lucky Hillbily Elegy and Ammonite flopped (Though Ammonite wasnt even that bad) that both pave her way through.

A wishful thinking but i think somehow Garfield could get in

Speaking of Twitter did you guys see this bullsh*t

    https://twitter.com/zachbgilbert/status/1403055748116930560?s=20

Scroll down till you see a women called Melosyna

For some reason I can’t upload photos. She claims that Benedict Cumberbatch has three fake children , is going to have a divorce and that he abused her.In the thread and other tweets she basically bashes Jane Champion and others for working with him. Check out her other tweets , she sounds mental but I can’t tell if she’s a troll or not. Either way this is f*ck*ed up.

And on top that she doesn’t have proof whatsoever of ANY of the claims she’s making and abusing the fact that he doesn’t have social media to defend himself.

The same thing is happening to Adam Driver and his family. These so called fans have been harassing him and his family for years, his wife and son got death threats, people saying that he is not the father of his child, they got doxxed and stalked. There are people who stalk him all over the world on movie sets, try to get cast as extras etc. It got so bad that he even spoke about it in an interview.

I think so, it wouldn’t make much sense for Netflix to refuse an out of competition slot in Cannes and not go for a Venice slot in competition, they clearly want festival awards for The Power of The Dog and Blonde.

I don’t even know what they’re trying to gain from it tbh. These fans claim they are doing it because they want to prove that Ben / Driver are fame whores and they are secretly gay.I checked , this women met someone on a German forum and she thought he was Ben in 2014  and she’s never met him in real life (so the abuse thing is bullshit) but she’s dedicated her whole Twitter saying the same thing over and over again.

I saw someone quote the Variety reporter’s tweet about HoG not going to Venice that they were scared the film might be trash. Is it because it wrapped only last month, and released in the same year this November?
