If they’re going for a more subtle and intimist personification of Lady Di, then I think Kristen is going to do well, because she’s really good at this.

It just started filming this month so probably a 2022 release date.

Nonetheless excited for Fremon Craig’s followup to the criminally underrated The Edge of Seventeen.

More complaints coming out about the gucci movie from family members.  Not an absolute death knoll but definitely warning bells.

I doubt that Katy Bates gets nominated for a judy blume book that has little to do with parent kid interactions

Did another relative besides Patrizia-Paolo Gucci’s daughter-speak out?

Someone calling Al Pacino too ugly to play her grandad is hardly a real critique, nor does it have any bearing on the quality of the film. I wouldn’t call it a warning sign.

They’re annoyed because they don’t want the family skeletons exposed, which I understand, but putting out a press release calling Al Pacino fat and ugly is just cringe.

    MID-APRIL PREDICTIONS:

    – Happy to see good reactions to “In the Heights”!

    – Also happy to see that “The French Dispatch” is at least going to Cannes. It’s a movie that still gets me nervous, but going to festivals (Wes Anderson doesn’t have a good track record with Cannes but who does?) is always a good sign.

    – From A24 I dropped “The Tragedy of Macbeth” for obvious reasons (that do not mean that it could still do well regardless since… it’s Hollywood) and bumped “The Whale”, that is already in post-production. Let’s go Aronofsky!! As a side note, where is the buzz for “The Green Knight” here??? The teaser is so trippy, it’s looking like Midsommar with a budget.

    – From Focus I am bumping “Belfast” and unfortunately dropping “The Card Counter” a little. “Belfast” has an opening date makes it just too obvious that is aiming at something awards-worthy and Paul Schrader is not an Awards guy anyway.

    – I’m still scratching my head over the Amazon titles. Following the tips from you guys I’ve bumped “The Electric Life of Louis Wain”. The story seems weirder than people may think (omg the thing that happens to the wife!) and the pictures are very beautiful. I just hope it’s not like “Big Eyes”! As a back-up I’ve given in and “Being the Ricardos” is here. It’s already filming according to IMDb. Let’s see.

    – I’m predicting “Luca” at number 2 in my Original Score prediction and I think so should you all. It was going to be scored by Ennio Morricone (per the director’s wishes, he died before getting the invitation) and now there will be this whole homage thing. Dan Romer (“Beasts of the Southern Wild”) was recently announced as the composer.

    – I’m still reading “The Lost Daughter” and I have no idea how this will be adapted!!

    – “Mass” and “A Mouthful of Air” still have no distributors… “John and The Whole” that shares the sound department team with “Sound of Metal” also nothing… disgusting!!

So, for the two of you who have CODA in screenplay: One of you has adapted and the other has original, argue your cases for its respective placement in adapted or original.

My bad, I saw the movie on Sundance and didn’t find anything in the title saying it is an adaptation (neither IMDb) but apparently it is adapted from a French movie (according to Wikipedia)!
