Agree with many here that Bradley Cooper only deserved to be nominated for ASIB, for which he also should’ve won.

It’s not an obsession. he was in the movies that ended up nominated and were AMPAS thing. 2 DOR movies, 1 Eastwood, 1 self-directed based on a classic. No mystery. Jake isn’t that consistent with his career choices and the closest he came to a nom was Nightcrawler that wasn’t an AMPAS thing in the end. It was too small and he was an also-run only so the most vulnerable type of nominee. And he missed because American Sniper was too big to ignore. No mystery just how AMPAS minds work. What was Jake’s last attempt at awards, that double amputee movie? Desperate. Cooper’s campaigning for ASIB (director) may have been desperate but his acting choices are not.

Nightcrawler is too small yet Nomadland just won BP.

Remind me when Nightcrawler was the frontrunner to win or even nominated for Picture/Director, etc? Oh wait that never happened.

I’ve no clue what you tried with that reply. Drunk texting maybe?

All this, because a small organization made up of foreign entertainment journalists living in LA doesn’t have any black members?

How many black foreign entertainment journalists have applied and been denied? How many newspapers in sub-Saharan Africa have even sent reporters to live in LA permanently, all expenses paid for, to cover the glamorous lifestyle of movie stars?

Goldderby users continue to be antiblack! Multiple actors have called out the Globes for their corruption and general problematic behavior.

“In the past, this has often meant facing sexist questions and remarks by certain HFPA members that bordered on sexual harassment. It is the exact reason why I, for many years, refused to participate in their conferences,” Said by Scarjo.

“the HFPA ‘was legitimized by the likes of Harvey Weinstein to amass momentum for Academy recognition and the industry followed suit.'” Said by Scarjo again and she’s right.

Well duh if she’s calling out the Globes while being the queen of problematic behavior the Globes really is fuc**d.

Lmao you’re not wrong but her reasons are certainly valid especially the sexual harassment interview questions directed to her. Just showing not all celebrities are boycotting the Globes because there’s no Black members. The organization has had a long history of corruption and bribery and actors are now realizing they ought to strengthen their union.
