Vincent Van Gogh is one of the most acclaimed artists of all time. So it is no surprise that he would get his own movies in the process. Douglas and Dafoe have both portrayed the tragic artist to a toe and even Oscar nominated for the role. Question is: Who did it better?

I prefer Tony Curran as Vincent Van Gogh in “Vincent and the Doctor,” a series 5 episode of Dr. Who written by Richard Curtis which was initially broadcast in 2010.

That was a wonderfully emotional episode of television and Curran gave such a strong lived in performance there. Underrated.
