FYC: “The Lost City of Z”
Best Picture, Director, Adapted Screenplay, Supporting Actress (Sienna Miller), Cinematography and Sound Mixing.January 2, 2018 at 12:15 pm #1202453794
But First They Killed My Father is in Best Picture as well as Foreign Language and that’s almost entirely in Khmer, and there are several English-language films for BP that are not American (UK).
You’re right, but that’s an exception. I don’t understand why at least the most popular and acclaimed foreign language films of the year (The Square, BPM, A Fantastic Woman, Raw, Thelma, Loveless, Foxtroot…) aren’t added in Best Picture.January 2, 2018 at 12:17 pm #1202453795

I was disappointed that BPM (Beats per Minute) wasn’t available in more categories besides Best Foreign Language Film, such as Best Picture, Best Director (Robin Campillo), Best Actor (Nahuel Perez Biscayard), Best Supporting Actor (Anaud Valois), Best Supporting Actress (Adele Haenel), Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing – all of which would have made my top 3 in those categories.January 2, 2018 at 6:11 pm #1202454030
Here are some performances deserving of a nomination. Let’s be original!
Best Actor: Hugh Jackman in Logan & James McAvoy – Split
Best Actress: Jennifer Lawrence in mother! and Daniela Vega in A Fantastic Women
Supporting Actor: Patrick Stewart in Logan
Supporting Actress: Bria Vinaite in The Florida Project
This year I stan: Taron Egerton for Rocketman / Brad Pitt, Margaret Qualley and Dakota Fanning for OUATIH (so far)January 2, 2018 at 6:32 pm #1202454038

FYC Blade Runner and Lady BirdJanuary 2, 2018 at 6:42 pm #1202454043
Could someone please add “The Lost City of Z” and “Good Time” to the ballot for Cinematography? I want to vote for either or maybe even both of those but I can’t do that if they aren’t available as options.
This is just criminal. These two are EASILY the best cinematography works in American cinema this year.
By the way, vote for these two in as many categories as possibleJanuary 3, 2018 at 3:20 am #1202454218This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.January 3, 2018 at 12:09 pm #1202454616This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.January 3, 2018 at 12:12 pm #1202454623

Bria Vinaite? That’s one of the nastiest performances of the year. Daniela who?
