I am very close to voting for Call Me By Your Name as #1 in all its four categories – but Best Song is tough, because I LOVE Let it Go as well. Also, which CMBYN song do I put ahead of the other? I might end up going Visions of Gideon-Let It Go- Mystery of Love. What a category.

Emmys FYC - "Unbelievable" and "The Handmaid's Tale" in all categories; Viola Davis in Best Drama Actress for the final season of "HTGAWM;" "Ozark:" Drama Series, Laura Linney (Best Actress) and Julia Garner (Best Supporting Actress)

Seeing Lupitain Best Actress for “US” over other past nominees is …… this is not Goldderby Compensation Award. Best Supporting Actress shortlist is great tho.

Recency bias is disappointing. Marriage Story? Get Out? The Lighthouse? Arrival?

Also wtf at that Sam Mendes nom? Fucking really?

Talking like 1917 doesn’t have great direction.

Btw, the complete omission of Nicole Kidman is quite painful as she turned in stellar work, thoroughly, this past decade. I still think – and I know it’s an unpopular opinion – that she should have won for Destroyer. The same goes for Margot Robbie, who deserved a Best Actress citation for “I, Tonya” and one for Best Performer of the Decade. And no Ronan in Best Actress is sad, but I’m certain that was because she was in contention three times in that category.

To people who whine about lists, you know that if you would put someone in you you would also have to pull someone else out, right? So I would want to hear from people crying about omision of certain names to also name who they are kicking out.

I know that like 50 diffent people according to various user deserves to be on the each one of lists but it’s impossible lol.

How in the hell does that make any sense? Jack probably just thinks Joaquin had better performances in The Master, Her, You Were Never Really Here, etc. His consistency is what gave him my vote: every one of his performances is great.

If you were to campaign for him in The Master, others could follow suit due to herd mentality…thus vote-splitting with Joker. That may not have been the poster’s intention, but that can happen and it definitely makes sense lol
