Nobody knows awards better than the experts, editors and users at Gold Derby, so we launched our own prizes for film in 2002 and for TV in 2004. Vote for your favorites in 22 categories for the Gold Derby Film Awards Nominations 2020. You can rank your top three choices in almost every category except for Best Picture, for which you can vote for five choices. You have until the end of January 17 to make or change your final selections.

You can campaign in this thread but keep it limited. If you mention more than 5 choices (overall), we will delete your post.

I’m excited to submit my nominations! Would it be possible to add Yesterday for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay? That’s probably my only addition request. Cheers!

My username is an acronym of “Quiet On Set! Lights, Camera, Action.”

Daniel will post a comment in this thread about how you can request additions through private messages. The process will be very limited (probably just 3 per person only if you are voting for them). We will not accept any requests in this thread.

I’ll wait to vote when people go through the process of getting the options added I’ll need, particularly Portait of a Lady on Fire outside ony the technicals.

Here’s how requesting additions will work. It’ll be mostly the same as always:

    (1) Send your request to me via private message, because I may not see requests made in this thread.

    (2) You may ask for up to 3 additions (I usually allow 5 requests, but this year’s compressed Oscar timeline means I’m more pressed for time this month than usual).

To clarify, please add “My Favorite Movie” to Cinematography, Visual Effects, and Score counts as three different requests. So don’t ask for a movie to be added in 14 different categories as if that’s all just one request. I may decide to add to more categories myself while I’m in there, but you get 3 requests only.

    (3) Please only request additions you actually want to vote for. Requests along the lines of “If John Doe is a candidate, so should these other guys” won’t be considered.

I’ll try to keep a running list of candidates I’ve added in a new thread so everyone knows who’s available.

Could you please at least list the categories we can nominate for those who haven’t done this before? And I’m guessing 5 nominations per category in order of preference?

    FYC:

Antonio Banderas and Asier Etxeandia, Dolor y Gloria (Best Actor/Supporting Actor)
Emily Beecham, Little Joe (Best Actress)
Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren, The Good Liar (Best Actor/Actress)

You don´t have to post in here. You can find the awards on the predictions center where you can nominate three candidates per category.

    a.k.a. GoldDerby’s Oscar predictions 2.0.

Anyway, vote for Monos y’all. Welp it is not in the predictions center, so vote for Portrait Of A Lady On Fire.

Also, The Souvenir is not a Foreign Language film.
