Is there a reason most poster suggestions were ignored this year?

Just a few more hours to go! I’m excited to see our nominees. There’s no clear front-runner like last year. Anything could happen!

I voted this year but thought that there was quite a poor selection to choose from if I’m being honest, especially considering what has been nominated at the Baftas

Whilst it’s likely none of us vote for the Oscars, it will be interesting to see the results of these. Sometimes (at least on the television side) it can give us an insight into viewer and audience preferences and habits like when Jeremy Strong and Jodie Comer finished ahead of Brian Cox and Sandra Oh with the television awards.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

    I have to agree.
“Our” suggestions were not listened to. Which is not normal in this website, usually its a pretty democratic website in that sense.
I think the selection will be very generic and many low budget movies (even the ones that are in eligible movies for the Oscars) will be out of the equation. And that’s a shame, we should be able to award some great movies that are under the radar such as Saint Maud, Buffalloed, etc.

FYC TV: Stateless | We Are Who We Are | Paapa Essiedu in I May Destroy You | Euphoria Special | genera+ion |

So many actors and filmmakers have interviews with this site, I’m sure there are some or their agents signing up to vote for themselves at the predictions center.

People just use this to predict oscars like the Pundits Choice awards. Not much to be gained from these.
