A question I find myself asking every year after the ceremony and winners are revealed.
Netflix bombed with winners yet again and another streaming service won BP before they did. Watch out for other streaming services like Amazon trying to replicate this in future years while Apple attempts to continue their dominance. Next year all Netflix seem to have is White Noise and Rustin, maybe they’ll change their campaign strategies.
Anonymous ballots do not mean anything in the vast majority of cases.

If you went back in time to a day after the 2019 Oscars and told them that the year after Green Book they would give Best Picture to an anticapitalist Korean satire they’d think you were crazy. The Academy isn’t always static.
