Frozen 2, not as good as the first one, but still a really enjoyable and emotional animated film. Beautiful animation, which is better than the first. And I found the soundtrack to be pretty catchy. Olaf also had some great jokes in this one.

I have just finished watching, Bombshell, Here are my thoughts:

Director Jay Roach (who apparently worked in the style of Adam McKay) offers a well-acted (and well-paced) drama about the fall of Roger Ailes told from the perspectives of the women. I think it’s a good companion to the miniseries, The Loudest Voice, from earlier this year. I should also give two thumbs up to the makeup team for transforming Charlize Theron into Megyn Kelly, Nicole Kidman into Gretchen Carlson, John Lithgow into Roger Ailes, Allison Janney into Susan Estrich, and Richard Kind into Rudy Giuliani.

Watched three of the top movies from 2019 within the last week and a half
The Irishman – Its long but i really enjoyed it, great acting by 3 legends and directing by the king himself
Parasite – This movie really surprised me, it was incredibly entertaining and is a movie you can re-watch time and time again. Right now i hope Best picture goes to either this or The Irishman, i don’t mind which
Joker – One of the best comic book movies i have seen, great acting and directing and i really hope Phoenix gets his overdue oscar but i’m not sure he will. The hate this movie gets is beyond strange

Les Miserables – I throughly enjoyed this one. I wish I saw it before the voting deadline but the last one I watched was Invisible Life which put me to sleep. Dont think I would have voted for it in any categories but it is definitely a very good movie.

I excitedly rented Downton Abbey when it finally went from 15 bucks to 6 bucks…

    ….and it was kinda boring????

I was so disappointed. Not a single piece of story was fun (kidding: Molesley at the dining room was hilarious). I wanted to cry because the story actually focused a lot on Branson, and gave Anna and Barrow something new to do.

    Sigh… i wish it’s a series again

I just love movies. And awards.

I totally agree. Downton Abbey was fucking boring, but I enjoyed Dame Maggie Smith in it. The costumes and set designs were great, but it was dead outside of those stuffs

These are the movies I watched since last week:

    • Marriage Story – 8/10
Wonderful screenplay with wonderful acting from Driver, Johansson, Alda, and Liotta. It offers great emotions but these emotions did not weave together as a single punching force.

    • Hustlers – 7/10
So entertaining and the highlight of this film is the talented Jennifer Lopez. The screenplay is negligibly off.

    • The Irishman – 10/10
    What can I say?

    • Judy – 8/10
It’s actually good. Zellweger did carry the whole film.

    • Toy Story 4 – 10/10
The last time I cried watching a film is during the last part of Toy Story 3. Toy Story 4 did it again. It deftly balances humor, drama, and action. Perfectly paced. The editing is above imaginative. A total bullseye.

    • Joker – 8/10
Phoenix is undeniably good in a satisfactorily made movie.

Parasite – 10/10. Talented brilliant amazing show stopping etc etc. Truly the best film that i’ve seen so far and deserves every inch of acclaim it gets.

Midsommar – 7.5/10. It was such a trip (and so beautifully shot), i’m still iffy about the ending, it’s quite open for me and i’m not sure if i’m on board with it

Judy – 6.5/10. While Renee was marvelous and the cast as a whole was enjoyable, i just couldn’t get behind the flashbacks, the editing and the whole Sidney drama. I enjoyed Renee’s voice, she’s a wonderful entertainer.

    The Two Popes

This was way more entertaining than I’ve expected. Brilliant acting from both Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce. Their scenes together are an absolute delight and Pryce is so charming and humorous. My favorite best actor performance this season.

I agree that it was better, and more entertaining than I expected. I had no idea that was how a Pope was selected and controversial the selection can be. Of course, I’m not a Christian so how would I know.

And both Hopkins and Pryce were terrific. Oscar nominations, please.
