Live-action and animation are vastly different forms of filmmaking, but Tim Burton has done both. So has Wes Anderson. Charlie Kaufman’s “Anomalisa” is coming out later this year. What other filmmakers best known for live-action work would you like to see try animation of some form?

I would adore a David Lynch animated movie! He did some shorts in the early days but think of the wonders he could do with a feature length

Tarantino came to my mind too. It would depend on what older animated films he wants to make an homage to. 🙂

Come to think of it, there was already an anime segment in “Kill Bill.” That seems like it might be up his alley.

Robert Rodriguez might be another good one. Between “Sin City” and “Spy Kids,” he has a visual style that might lend itself to animation.

I would like to see David Fincher do something animated. No idea what it would look like, but it would have to be good…right?

    Michael Haneke.

    Nah, kidding

Actually I reckon PT Anderson could make a killer of an animated feature, targeted specifically at adults.
