Okay, last minute predictions. For Director I have Cuaron, Lee, Cooper, Lanthimos and for the fifth spot I don’t want to put McKay or Farrelly. Who should I put?

Well if you don’t want to put Farrelly or McKay…. maybe Coogler or Chazelle?

I’m kinda thinking about either Chazelle or Jenkins.

I want to put Shirkers in SO BADLY just because it is Netflix and about filmmaking but I can’t decide what to take out for it! Won’t You Be My Neighbor, Three Identical Strangers, Free Solo, Minding the Gap, or RBG?

You better choose something because Netflix is getting in and you get more points for calling a long shot than a frontrunner.

Just put Farrelly dude. TONS of industry people love it. Or, also predict Pawlikoski for Cold War following his Bafta nod like I have. I’m even riskily predicting a shocker Best Picture nomination for that film, ala Amour.

I’m debating taking If Beale Street Could Talk out of Best Picture and replacing it with A Quiet Place, but if I do that it would feel weird having Regina King in Supporting but not Emily Blunt, so… what should I do? I don’t see the English Blunt getting nominated twice after she got nothing at Bafta.

I would be totally surprised if Farrelly doesn’t make it in, but the director’s branch is where surprises do happen. I just hope they don’t nominate McKay but since Cuaron is winning the Oscar the others are just filler nominees this year anyway.

I am curious to see how many of the acting nominees I get right – 16-20. I feel very confident about 17 of my predictions and weak on 3 (Aparicio, Blunt for Supporting Actress, and Washington).

Please let Julia Roberts be a totally out of nowhere nominee!
