Animated Flicks are the most underrated of all. The fact that Toy Story 4, Inside Out, Coco, Zootopia, Spider Man: Into the spider verse, Moana and many others didn’t get best picture nominations annoys me

    FYC:

Riz Ahmed- Best Actor for Sound Of Metal
Daniel Kaluuya - Best Supporting Actor for Judas and the Black Messiah
Amanda Seyfried - Best Supporting Actress for Mank

Voted for horror because I feel like lately, there’s a wave of creativity in that particular genre. It’s (hopefully) just a matter of time before someone makes the right one at the right moment.

I just love movies. And awards.

It won’t be Peele though. One hit wonder. he’s the new Shymalan. Us really pooped the bed but critics were afraid to state it openly. It was saved by strong performances and totally bait and switch marketing (promised real scares, hid a comedy) hence big opening weekend. it collapsed once people saw that dumb twist that ruined the movie retroactively and that it was really a comedy. He’s too bound to formula (horror, humor, political twist) and that isn’t going to work all the time. In fact, dumb socio-political twist/commentary (something about haves and have-nots and anti-Live Aid type of charity) sunk this Titanic.
