Which actor among these had the greatest filmography overall???

I didn’t put in the list actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, or Joaquin Phoenix because I feel like their careers are still in the making, with some defining films/performances still ahead of them (especially DiCaprio and Phoenix).

Vote in the poll below and sound off in the comments.

    Fine, I’ll go first.
To me it’s a toss up between Nicholson and DeNiro.
I’ll pick Nicholson for his eclectic choices.

    1969: Easy Rider

    1970: Five Easy Pieces

    1971: Carnal Knowledge

    1973: The Last Detail

    1974: Chinatown

    1975: The Passenger

1975: One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest

    1980: The Shining

1981: The Postman Always Rings Twice

    1981: Reds

    1983: Terms of Endearment

    1985: Prizzi’s Honor

    1986: Heartburn

    1987: Ironweed

    1989: Batman

    1992: A Few Good Men

1997: As Good As It Gets

    2002: About Schmidt

    2006: The Departed

MAYBE the greatest and most consistent filmography ever.

I voted for Nicholson, but it was hard to pass up Cary Grant. If Bogart had been included like Jonh-hathan mentioned I would have voted for him.

    1980: Raging Bull

    1983: The King of Comedy

1984: Once Upon A Time In America

    1986: The Mission

    1987: The Untouchables

    1987: Angel Heart

    1988: Midnight Run

    1990: Awakenings

    1990: Goodfellas

    1991: Cape Fear

    1995: Casino

    1995: Heat

    1997: Jackie Brown

    1998: Ronin

    2012: Silver Linings Playbook

    2019: Joker

    2019: The Irishman

Nicholson. He had classics in every decade of his career. I’m surprised that no one mentioned Paul Newman.
