Well Noomi Rapace was originally cast but I hear they are going for an unknown.

They said casting will be announced at Christmas I believe.

She could. I doubt she’d do her own singing (if she did it) but if she would sing in it then she already has at least one Oscar on lock lol.

There are a couple of competing projects for the Amy Winehouse biopic at the moment in pre production…. I know that Monumental Films are producing a version but I also heard (inside source) that David Heyman wants to produce an Amy Winehouse biopic and some other film companies were rumoured to be vying to produce her story as well. So this is quite a hot topic for the industry and especially since Mitch Winehouse has now officially agreed to let companies tell the story it’s going to be a competitive subject. No details are confirmed as of yet.
