Frances McDormand. She won her third without any when-will-she-win-the-third hype that preceeded Streep’s win. It was effortless which shows that most voters don’t keep stats about who won how many or at all in their heads unlike us. Whether she has 2, 3 or more doesn’t mean anything to them just like it doesn’t mean to them that Close has zero. That’s reality. Unlike stans, they don’t care.

But yeah, unless some actress with 2 Oscars wins Actress and Support in one night, it’s likely going to be her.

If Frances keeps on working as hard & as well as she is currently and keeps branching out into production she’s got a very good chance at this though I think her past Oscar wins will be far bigger hurdle to overcome for a fourth than her third, especially with it possibly bringing her overall total to five

FYC EMMYS: THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. OLIVIA COLMAN - D. ACTRESS & HBC - D. SUPP. ACTRESS) & IT’S A SIN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. LYDIA WEST - LIM. ACTRESS & KEELEY HAWES - LIM. SUPP. ACTRESS) & I MAY DESTROY YOU IN ALL CATEGORIES

I feel like with Streep they might do… At least some of them. I said that earlier, but the number of her nominations has become a running joke in the industry. I mean both Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel have joked about it in their Oscars monologues a couple of years ago. And many other people. Frances is much more low-profile and with way fewer nominations, it might not have necessarily crossed that many voters’ mind she already had 2 before this year’s ceremony.

Frances being more lower profile is why she surprised with 3 Actress wins (and 1 producer). People don’t vote for hype and high profile, they vote for the performance. They loved all 3 of hers and she picked the right movies (all 3 were Picture contenders were they not?).

Streep won for playing Thatcher a role that’s doing awards wonders for Gillian Anderson too. Iron Lady was an iconic historical figure  so that’s top favorite type of role with AMPAS. She would have won without #Meryl’sthirdOscah hype.

This year really put the spotlight on uselessness of stanning/narratives created by stanning.

Streep. The Academy will give it to her apologetically for keeping her waiting far too long before the third one

Frances is more likely to win again for The Tragedy of Macbeth than Meryl for Don’t Look Up.

Based on what? Winslet is out. She’s gotten the accolades she’s wanted and is now doing lesser work. Foster doesn’t know who she is at this point as an actress. Her directorial career is semi-embarrassing. Swank is stuck doing bad movies where she’s bad in them.

Jodie is on Fire she knows the track….shes already got 2

Winslet always on critics radar every movies that she made although some of her movies just hit and run Ammonite (festival acclaim best actress performance with boring movie) Wonder wheel ( due Allen case) Steve Jobs (we know she best in it) Laborday Contagion Carnage Mildred Pierce and shes on top position..she proofs that great actress not always on the big budget movies

do not messing around with my trailer trash girl which is the one and only Hillary Swank.. if someone ask me : Who is the best actress performance in oscar history??? without hesitate without a doubt im gonna say Hillary Swank in Boys dont cry cant find any actress playing a lesbian and acting like a boy as perfect as she had done…

you dont have to be nominated all the time..if you good that year you get it
