    Taraji and King are coming.

I am happy to see more roles coming for Black women but there is still much room to grow.

Lupita and Ruth should have had their 2nd nods. Jennifer Hudson was close. I want Halle to work with better directors.

GIVE AUNJANUE ELLIS A LEADING ROLE PLEASE!!!

Not sure why we’re blaming Dench for Negga missing when clearly Buckley took her spot.. Anyway, I do think Negga, Nyong’o, and King make the most sense in answer to the question. Nyong’o isn’t often cast the way she deserves to be, but when her next hit really lands, I wouldn’t bet against her. She just barely missed with Us.

Are you saying that Dench gave a better performance than Buckley?

Probably Lupita or Regina. Maybe Hudson, Oprah, Woodard, or Queen Latifah

    Angela Bassett did it.

And that was highly unexpected. No one mentioned her. It goes to prove that these things aren’t predictable. We don’t know who would do it next

I could see Taraji receiving a 2nd nod for The Color Purple next year.

Alfre Woodard should’ve been on this list! I think Regina King is next though.

Most likely Lupita N’yongo and Taraji P. Henson who seem to have the most active careers with good roles.

ALFRE WOODARD! She should have won by now, so her not even being a double nominee is something which needs to be rectified ASAP!
