We hear a lot about people who won their Oscars as a consolation prize, an overdue award, or a political trophy.
But which winners won the award for their best role in their best film?
Here are some I’d put forth:
Joan Crawford in Mildred Pierce
Vivien Leigh in Gone With The Wind and A Streetcar Named Desire
Who are your picks?

Thank you!
I know many people have issues with Hepburn’s wins, but, I will say, she gave one of the best performances ever in The Lion In Winter.

I think many people have issues with her 2nd win for Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner but The Lion In Winter is flawless and amongst the all-time best. Shouldn’t even have been a tie
