I always find it interesting to see which Oscar winners
receive standing ovations.
This year, I’m guessing that the audience will stand up for
How likely is it that they’ll stand for Eddie Redmayne if he
wins? Or Michael Keaton if he wins?
Do you expect a standing ovation for any of the other

I’m only expecting a standing ovation for Moore when she wins. I know that is has been said many times, but she is SO overdue. Michael Keaton getting a standing O if he wins could be possible, though.February 21, 2015 at 8:09 am #179347
I think Julianne Moore will definitely get a standing O, unless the show ends up being so dull that the audience is in a bad mood by this point. Patricia Arquette and any of the 3 Best Actor frontrunners will possibly get one, but I’m not sure about JK Simmons. If they stand up for a director, I think Linklater is likelier than Iñárritu.February 21, 2015 at 8:11 am #179348
I think Moore will for sure as will whoever wins best actor.February 21, 2015 at 8:14 am #179349
More than likely Julianne Moore.February 21, 2015 at 8:21 am #179350
I saw standing ovation for leading actor and actress winners for past 2 years and I expect the same this year
I guess there will be standing ovation for jk simmon for his performance and dedication and patricia arquette for her 12-year dedication
If Inarritu wins, I doubt if there will be standing ovation (cuaron didn’t get it last year)
if Linklater wins, I think there will be standing ovation for his achievement over 12 yearsFebruary 21, 2015 at 8:33 am #179351
Juliane Moore and whoever wins for Best Actor. Maaaaybe Glory because it’s an “important” song ? But that’s it I think.February 21, 2015 at 8:42 am #179352
If Keaton wins then he will get standing Ovations and I think Simmons might.February 21, 2015 at 8:51 am #179353
IF IF IF IF, Meryl Streep gets a SUPRISE & UPSET WIN as Best Supporting Actress for Into The Woods …..
THEN, Streep will get a Standing Ovation as it will be a Historic Record-Tying 4th WIN !!!February 21, 2015 at 9:11 am #179354
I think Moore will get a standing ovation — everyone knows how overdue she is.
If Keaton wins, I could see him getting one as well. Same for Linklater.February 21, 2015 at 9:32 am #179355
Linklater & Moore. Keaton if he wins. That’s all. Arquette won’t.February 21, 2015 at 9:54 am #179356
The THING and OBSERVATION about Standing Ovations @ Award Shows ….. these were somehow initiated & prompted by those in the Front Row/s.
Like Meryl Streep initiating the Standing Ovation for the HFPA President @ Golden Globes recently.February 21, 2015 at 10:30 am #179357
Simmons might he has been working his butt of for years unrecognized
I could even see Arquette getting love maybe Wes Anderson or Damien Chazelle if they win screenplayFebruary 21, 2015 at 10:36 am #179358
Julianne Moore will get one.
If they win maybe Wes Anderson, Bradley Cooper, and Michael Keaton.
Alfonso Cuaron didn’t receive one last year for some reason. You know Steve McQueen would’ve gotten one. I’m not sure if either Alejandro González Iñárritu or Richard Linklater will get one. They should, but who knows.
If Glen Campbell is there and his song wins he’s a lock for a standing ovation too.
