Wes Anderson x4 for Isle of Dogs! Picture, Director, Original Screenplay, and Animated Feature! I dream of him tying Walt Disney record, as unlikely as I know that is.

Alexandre Desplat is my #1 dream choice and priority to win for his Isle of Dogs score! The Oscars can give that Predator crap Best Picture for all I care if they are wise and informed enough to award Desplat the Oscar for what I consider not only the best work of his career but for one of the greatest film scores of the past 20 years at least. Endlessly addicting and catchy, his Isle of Dogs composition is one of the all-time greats in my book!

For your Goldderby Film Awards consideration: Isle of Dogs for every category, especially Music Score for Alexandre Desplat!

Nice thread! It’s interesting to just overlook those serious “what deserves Oscars” conditions (such as “oh,*** is overdue” or “it’s just his/her first time”) and be true to your own favorite ones.

Glenn Close winning would lessen the violence enacted by the Academy to worthy women without them.
