I have some ideas on who could present the awards this year at the Oscars, just for kicks. I’m just putting people who were impactful this year in the film industry (and some in the TV industry).

Keanu Reeves (because he’s arguably taken over 2019 with John Wick 3, Toy Story 4, Always Be My Maybe, and Cyberpunk)

Robert Downey, Jr. (He is Iron Man, and also he is going to be Dolittle)

Chris Evans and Ana de Armas (Chris is Captain America, and both are in Knives Out)

Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding (Emilia is Daenerys Targaryen, and both were in Last Christmas)

Tom Holland (Because he is Spider-Man)

Brie Larson and Zachary Levi (They’re the Captain Marvels)

Tom Hanks (Because he is Mr. Rogers, and also he is in Toy Story 4. Also, we always could use a little Tom Hanks in our lives.)

David Harbour (He was Hellboy and of course, Jim Hopper)

Awkwafina and Tiffany Haddish (They are comedic people that are generally considered funny)

John Boyega and Billy Dee Williams (Because they’re in Star Wars)

Oscars 2020: I stan Joaquin Phoenix, Willem Dafoe, Alan Silvestri, and Dean Deblois.

Emmys 2020: I stan Logan Lerman, Olivia Colman, and David Harbour.

Tom Hanks and Amy Adams stan in general.

Can we please just bring back last year’s acting winners presenting individually to winners of the opposite gender? I hate how they doubled up last year on the Leading categories and left the Supporting categories to random A-listers.

With a few exceptions, I’d feel like I tuned accidentally to The People’s Choice Awards.

Yeah, that was dumb. I understand that they did something different in 2018 because of Casey Affleck, but I had no idea why they switched it up this year. Hopefully they go back.

It also annoyed me when they had Emma Stone present Best Director instead of Best Actor.

It’s not that your idea is flawed, but it has a circus-ee feel. I’m not sure if that audience or voters would feel comfortable, including the younger members.
Imo BAFTA is the classiest way to go, and last year it was my favorite Awards show. It has humour as well as grace.

I know that’s not everyone ‘s cup of tea but for me at least, it would be just a tad too People’s Choicy. Gimmicky

Yikes. I did not check the grammatics for that one. I was trying to say that Awkwafina and Tiffany are funny people that could be dynamite as they present. But sorry about that.

    I like that tradition too.

Last year’s winners aren’t exactly A-List draws (I guess Rami has a following but the other three not so much) I have a feeling they might try to pair them up again to free up categories for bigger stars.
