When Kate fully sweeps for Ammonite

Kate is not sweeping in a season where Saoirse, Glenn and Amy are all competing for their first Oscars. There’s absolutely no way that Kate takes a second Oscar next week if those three are in the conversation.

She’s not robbed of a second Oscar like Kidman is for Moulin Rouge, or Zellweger was for Bridget Jones Diary which they made up for with Judy.

These women are competing in supporting. She doesn’t deserve 2nd Oscar. For me it’s a 3-way: de Armas, Chastain and Winslet. Is Ana de Armas actually capable of delivering an Oscar winning Marilyn performance? Maybe. I’m open for surprises. Chastain’s film seems like a flop. Who’s gonna go watch that? Does Andrew Garfield have such huge fanbase? Also, I doubt theatres will be open. This winter will be coronamess. I guess theatres might allow only few people per screening? As of Winslet, the odds are against her. But it’s a low budget film that will be pushed hard by BAFTA

My sources say there is a female lead in the Hillbilly Elegy

Took chances with The Paperboy, The Goldfinch, Destroyer.

One of these is not like the others. I mean, on paper “The Goldfinch” was pretty baity, it was the adaptation of a best-seller directed by John Crowley (“Brooklyn”), it wasn’t a risky move.

    Yeah, and it’s Adams.
