Christine Baranski as Morrible is one of those lightbulb moments that I never realised perfect that is and how I want to see that until now.
At this stage I feel like Christine Baranski should be offered a part in every musical movie adaptation.February 9, 2019 at 10:29 am #1202766247
Lea Michele right now doesn’t even appear to be as big of a commodity as she was in her Glee days.
Fair point. She hasn’t worked since her failed ABC sitcom in 2017 and that was the first gig she’d had in a few years that wasn’t helmed by Ryan Murphy. I think rumours of her bad attitude and work ethic will keep her out as well.
Anna Kendrick once sang with Chenoweth, could she pull off Elphaba?February 9, 2019 at 11:40 am #1202766295
The 2021 release date makes sense, if Cats has the Christmas release this year, and WSS is probably slated for late 2020.February 9, 2019 at 12:20 pm #1202766338
Harry Styles would make a great fiyeroFebruary 9, 2019 at 5:32 pm #1202766700
Harry Styles would make a great fiyero
Funnily enough he’s been rumoured for the part as early as March 2014. (Put that into perspective, that was less than 5 months after the release of “Midnight Memories” and his only acting experience then was as himself on iCarly)
I genuinely think, after seeing Dunkirk and SNL, he’s got untapped potential and this could be the perfect vehicle for him.February 10, 2019 at 11:11 am #1202767638
W Magazine has some interesting choices
Aaron Tevitt (if it was 10 years ago)
Sir Ian McKellen

I think Ariana Grande would make a fantastic Glinda, but she prefers Elphaba which I don’t think is a role she would fare as well in.February 10, 2019 at 11:57 am #1202767788
I’d love to see Queen Latifah as Madame Morrible.February 10, 2019 at 1:02 pm #1202768183

Vocally she’s an Elphaba. She actually did a Broadway musical when she was a teen and was excellent. She’s my choice for Elphaba in fact.February 10, 2019 at 4:31 pm #1202769555

Im certain she has the range but I feel like her tone is too girlish and airy to really deliver on Elphaba, I hope that if she’s offered Glinda she just takes what she can get because seeing her in that role would be a dream.February 11, 2019 at 6:45 am #1202771908
Ariana is in her personality and voucectype an Elphaba. Think Amanda Seyfried for Glinda. She hits very high notes. You need a real soprano. Not now
