Ariana is supposedly working on a full soundtrack for a film, so I’m curious if it has something to do with this.

Isn’t that allegedly for the live action remake of Hercules?

Ariana Grande can definitely belt the high notes but her voice doesn’t have the same power and force needed for Elphaba. Ariana’s high notes sound so easy for her, which is a great quality, but doesn’t suit past interpretations of Elphaba.

Would make sense (she did a cover of Zero to Hero for a Disney Compilation album a few years ago), but I haven’t heard anything official.

The only thing that throws of both theories is that she also said that’s she’s been “writing”, so it might be an original film or soundtrack, which definitely won’t be the case for Wicked and might not be the case for Hercules as well.

I think they should cast Jessie J. She is perfect for it
