I thought this could be interesting, as a twin to the other thread about greatest living actors without nominations. Who do you think is the least talented living actor/actress to have scored an Oscar nomination or even a win?

Gabourey Sidibe is a pretty terrible actress.

Almost all thespians who have been nominated are actually really good. I have to give that to the Academy.

I would say Gwyneth Paltrow is very one-note as an actor, although she is more interesting as a performer than she gets credit for.

Sylvester Stallone is not a good actor either and he’d probably be the first one to admit that.

Halle Berry is good but she has not been able to live up to her potential.

I have always found Kenneth Branagh lacking in the charisma department but he’s by no means a bad actor per se.

I’m also tempted to list Jean Dujardin here but I’m not actually all that familiar with his body of work. He might be a lot better than I think. Same with Roberto Benigni.

Jon Voight never impressed me but this could be a matter of personal taste rather than his actual talent.

I think Emma Stone is a great actress, so this doesn’t perfectly fit, but she did not deserve it for La La Land.  I was pretty disappointed in the Academy for that one last year.

Would’ve preferred Ruth Negga or Taraji P Henson.

I have to disagree. He was the best in his category by far last year.

    John Wayne. Easily.

He’s still alive? Is he hiding out with Elvis and Tupac and Biggie in a Death Becomes Her type of situation? 😉

I have to say Gwyneth Paltrow. Typical case in which the academy wants to launch an actress career by awarding an Oscar. Ex: Emma Stone/ Jeniffer Lawrence. Meh.
